So far I’m highly dissatisfied at the learning environment with my teen’s peers.

Our neighbors just graduated their second child from Berthoud High School. They speak of the school very highly. He has grown up to be a very fine young man. Our children will not be in High School for 4 more years. We love the small town feeling with high standards.

BHS is a very math and science oriented school. A student there can really excell if they take the initiative. No, the staff doesn't coddle the kids. They are expected to do there work and research post-secondary options for themselves. Your child will easily fall behind here if they're not motivated because there simply isn't enough staff to cater to the lazy. The academic opportunity is endless, but our sports programs are as successful. Students put forth their best effort but it isn't as big as the other schools we play and we lack diversity. Most of the staff is amazing but there are a few substandard teachers. But overall, I would highly suggest this school to anyone in the area.

We made the biggest mistake when we moved our grandson from Loveland high school to Berthoud High school. The clickiness of the students is horrible---definite devisions in social status. Teachers show huge favoritism to students that are long time residents of the town. MUSIC DEPARTMENT is disappointing to say the least. If a child needs help, they would just as soon they leave the school than stay. Very depressed school is the overall feeling. They say no bullying? What about the upper echelon kids that simply make fun of others? HUGE MIISTAKE ON OUR PART
