South Ridge Elementary An Ib World School

When comparing to the "top rated school and district" according to greatschools.org that we moved away from back on the east coast, South Ridge Elementary gets it done and with half of the budget. I attribute the school's success to the community culture that the teachers work hard to create on a daily basis. My kids have grown exponentially because they feel safe, comfortable, and positive about their classroom and their teachers (and my kids are new kids in class). This was not always the case at the "great school" back east. The curriculum is right on par with the schools on the east coast, and now that I have seen them demonstrate the same proficiency or better on the same assignments and tests, I am very pleased with my decision to sign them up at South Ridge. This is a school that prioritizes academic performanc, but it also prioritizes humility, compassion, and fun. I feel that my kids understand what it means to be contributing human beings in the community. Students don't always get these perspectives in "top rated" schools, because the focus is primarily on general test scores. We have seen this from their previous school back east. We are very grateful that our kids attend a school that represents the real world and a diverse community, where tests are not always the most important thing.

I am honored to send my child to South Ridge Elementary. The staff is caring and passionate about student success. My child has grown not only academically, but socially in the short time we’ve spent at South.

South Ridge is an AMAZING school! The staff is friendly, the teachers are caring and really want to see their students succeed. This is a great atmosphere for kids and would be a great school to send your kids to grow up in. Wow!

South Ridge Elementary School is an awesome school. Not only is the learning growth of the students a high priority but the staff and teachers also teach on the importance of caring for one another. South Ridge Elementary has a community and caring family atmosphere. Everyone that enters the building is greeted with a smile and warm welcome. I would highly recommend your student to attend South Ridge Elementary School because they will be taught with intelligent and caring teachers and staff.
