This is a wonderful school!! The teachers are caring and go above and beyond what is expected. We can't say enough good things about this school.

It has been great having my child at CHVE. The principle is great and handles any problems fast. The teachers are great. The parents are very involved and majority of the kids are sweet and innocent and nothing like other schools we've been to.

Much like the other posters here, money and social status garner you special treatment and access to the principal and sometimes the staff. I never pushed my son being in the Gifted and Talented program because there were so many parents doing that. When he went to middle school, he took the first mathplacement test and scored perfectly. He then took the second more advanced test, which he also aced. Middle School admin couldn't believe he hadn't been identified for the GT program. So moral of the story, it will all get sorted out in Middle School. CHVE was a good start for both of my kids, but you do have to put up with a "high school popular crowd" mentality with the parents, that the Principal and some of the teachers completely buy into.

Disappointing. I wish the district would pay attention to leadership problems. Test scores are high because families can afford to get kids tutoring.
