Belmar Elementary School

I think the heart of BelArts has been on display during Covid Learning at home. I have bragged daily to my neighbors about what an amazing job our school is doing to maintain community, learning and JOY during this weird learning cycle. Teachers put signs in every kid's yard. They made learning buckets for every child with not just worksheets, but watercolors, play-doh, and decks of cards. They truly put the emotional well-being of their students and families first during this time. They are also continuing to set up fun activities for students all summer so that sense of community continues. This is proof of amazing leadership, staff, and families.

My daughter is in her 3rd year at BelArts. I love all the staff and teachers, they really do care about every student! The principle is amazing as well, she cares about every BelArts family and the students really look up to her! The Instructional coach is awesome! All of the kids think she is so cool and just love her. She is very respected there and really pumps up the kids and staff to have successful days! This is not our neighborhood school but I couldn't be happier to be a part of the BelArts community!

Teachers and staff are amazing, the principal is not. She only supports students, parents and staff members who she likes and are her friends (many of whom write these reviews.) Lost a lot of great teachers over the last few years due to the principal, my child's teacher last year left and it is/was heartbreaking. I hate to see so many good teachers pushed out, because they disagree with the principal and don’t do everything her way.

Absolutely wonderful, and look forward to many more years, and have seen many of the same families too. Several former students have brought their children here I have learned after visiting with new families at the fall festival, love this school!
