I used to think this school was amazing and it is in some aspects. The brutal bullying is where I draw the line. I have a chronically ill child who is physically and/or verbally bullied every single day. I can't wait to transfer my sweet child to a school that will affectively deal will the issue.

After principal Black told us the parents of Mary Blair do not want to receive communications for the school, we withdrew our child after two months. We not only withdrew our child over this single statement, but we were extremely unimpressed how the principal led the school in conducting in cohesive and communicative situation between parents and educators. We have since found incredibly communicative schools who want to work with parents and SHARE all curricular activities with parents. This is school is a sad example of our educational system.

I love this school. The principal knows every student AND parents' name! It feels like a family. The teachers are so devoted! They love their students and the kids feel safe. I love seeing parents and even grandparents volunteering there. The building is small and old but it doesn't matter because of the warm and loving environment. They have the BEST specials teachers! I've had three kids go there and they have all thrived!

I went to this school for 2 years when I moved from another state. It was so easy to make friends. I wasn't sad. I jumped right in and the teachers helped too. I even had the same teacher for two years. She knew my strengths and weaknesses and expected the best out of me. I really liked Mrs. Libal the GT teacher because we did a whole legacy project and I felt like I really made a difference at my school.
