I am really disappointed in this school. They really need to look at the conduct of the principals and academics. I have removed both my son and daughters from this school. It is a stressful and toxic enviroment. Drugs are widespread, misconduct on the part of the principals and discrimination if you are not in sports or did not grow up in the good old boy system. Bullies are not dealt with and it is only time until a school shooting is sure to happen. There have already be at least 2 in the past 3 months. One child expelled (low scoring student) one threat ignored (high scoring student) test scores are what they strive for. 4-6 weeks of practice for the tcaps. The principals are not honest and should not be there. The teachers do care but their hands are tied. If at all possible really think before you enter your child into this enviroment. We really need another option such as a charter school. Very scary situation. Sad the leaders at the school cannot do what is best for the students.

It isn't a bad school as long as you do not have a special needs child. They keep the classes at a more manageable size than a lot of schools, but that is small towns for you, they can do that. However I would say that if you have a special needs child then most likely you will not be happy there. One of the teachers in the middle school informed the students that ADHD does not actually exist. Several of their teachers have gone to seminars on Autism but still do not understand children on the spectrum's behaviors at all. Do not even get me started on the school nurse. And for the love of all that is holy, you do not want your child involved in their Bridges program. They seem to feel that because they have a "diagnoses" chart that they know better what is going on with your child than you or even several doctors do. And what ever you do, do not let them know that you do not agree with their version of parenting, you will regret it.
