Ayres Elementary School

This school needs some life breathed into it. Where do I start. First, the teachers are overworked, and underpaid which is reflected in their lack -luster, ho hum attitude I see on a regular basis. Most are more concerned with standing around and gossiping than actually engaging the children.(As I have witnessed @ various recess times.) Secondly, The class sizes are too big(22-26 on average). This even with 7 Kindergarten classes, 10 1rst grade, and I'm not sure how many 2nd grade classes. They DO NOT enforce or help detour a NO Bullying policy. My son witnessed another child getting bullied and tried to tell a teacher and they just shrugged him off 3 separate times. If your child has special needs(specifically if they are autistic) NO DOT send your child to this school. They treat those children as sub humans and they would rather let them slip through the cracks than to see them succeed. (The child my son saw being bullied was autistic and had no real friends @ the school.) I've seen how they treat these children on MANY separate occasions and each time it was not appropriate by any means.
