Park Avenue is a dream come true. We moved here from Easton and could not be happier. The teachers know their students. My three children now love to come to school. The school provides just the right amount of blend between high academic goals and fun. The community surrounding the school is amazing. On any given day after school, we find ourselves walking to Tarrywile Park, going to downtown to Mothership Bakery, jetting off to Whole Foods at the Mall and meeting up for park playdates at the splash park in Roger's Park. During spring and fall, I have my kids walk to school. Danbury is the safest city in CT and my children love feeling like they live in a close-knit neighborhood where everyone knows everyone and there is so much to do. Our kids have never been happier. My daughter' reading has taken off. The school promotes reading and the kids adore going the big library, Downtown and their teachers praise them for being reader leaders. This school feels like it is in one of the best neighborhoods in Brooklyn, NY. Mom and Dad are happy campers, too, because the parents are cool, hip and wonderful. The parents at this school really care about building community. Our three kids have had more play dates the first year we were here than five years we were in Easton. We made the move to Danbury and we could not be happier. The bus driver on this route is a total sweetheart. She treats the kids like they are her own. This school was recently named a CT School of Distinction. We loved it before knowing this and are not surprised by this award.
