I would rate it a 10 because the teachers and staff have helped my daughter succeed

I had to remove my daughter from this school for multiple reasons, and now home school her.1. Sexual harassment among students. 2. She was failing all classes except one and no effort was made to address this.3. Her depression was directly correlated to this school. This is no longer an issue.4. Students get bused in from Hartford and are a nuisance to the education process, all for a monetary gain. 5. She has been offered drugs many times.

Absolutely disappointing, heartbreaking, and a total let down. We moved to Enfield to avoid this and it has been a terrible experience. My other children will NOT be attended this school!!!!

4th year now with kids in this school, overall it’s been a struggle and less than good experience. There are fights breaking out almost daily, teachers that are not effectively handling out of control students, no ACT/SAT prep, these kids are doing the bare minimum and are not prepared to apply for colleges. We had to repeatedly ask for help with the Common Application and ended up just doing it alone. IEP meetings have been frustrating and redundant- without really dealing with any issues, just talking in circles. Lack of communication between case managers and teachers, more punitive than *how can we effectively get this student excited about school?* Also, one of the most disturbing things I’ve encountered is the disrespect to our military service people. My student is an enlisted military member, was accepted into the split-op program with the US Army because grades were excellent and on track for college, but lack of support from the guidance office and in general has been incredibly disappointing. My student was told by guidance to not wear the uniform (which is not in their control )because they didn’t want other students to join a dangerous career.... and the refusal of guidance staff to work effectively with military recruiters for students who are eligible- they have said many times that kids who won’t graduate should join- which is ludicrous! They refuse to listen and be educated on the parameters of being eligible to join...like good grades and multiple letters of recommendations. This is very disturbing to us parents who have college-bound active military members as students.
