I would rate my experience at CMS very good, I loved my teachers, even if they got hard on me at times. What I find really nice about CMS is that for every grade level there are 2 “reams” of teacher. In my opinion this was AMAZING because it gives students variety. For example, my 6th grade science teacher was very hands-on and had a philosophy that the student should learn the info on their own, not have someone tell it to them. On the other hand, the other 6th grade science teacher followed the textbook very closely, and wasn’t as hands-on. I would also like to mention how willing the teachers were to help you, and would come in early or stay after school to help you if you needed it. I also loved all the different clubs they offered (for free) and how easy it was to start a club. Some of the clubs were: Debate Club (which takes part in a state-wide league), Robotics Club, Art Club, Homework Club, a LGBTQ+ oriented club, Game Club, and a couple other’s that I’m probably forgetting. I also loved how CMS offers intramurals, which is an option for someone who wants to play a sport after school, just not competitively. Some of the intramurals were: Tennis, flag football, basket ball, and a lot more that I’m forgetting. CMS also offers year-round competitive sports, which you will have to check out on their website. Some of the electives are: Health (required), PE, Digital Literacy, Seminar (only available to Advanced English students), Spanish or French, Consumer Science, and a couple others that I’m forgetting. The student-involvement in big school events such as the yearly play is incredible to me, any grade can audition but there is also back stage crew, who make the sets, control the sound, do the lights and the spotlight, etc. I loved CMS’s musical program, which includes a 6th grade Chorus and a 7th and 8th grade Chorus along with Grand Central which is an Acapella Chorus for any grade but is audition only. CMS also has a 6th grade Orchestra, a 7th and 8th grade Orchestra, along the Chamber Orchestra which plays at a higher level and is more select. It is open to any grade but is audition only. CMS ALSO has a 6th grade band, a 7th and 8th grade band , and Jazz Ensemble, which is open to any grade but is audition only. I do urge you to check out Central’s website if you have any questions about any topic.

My experience was very great and it was a fascinating time. I also had a major attitude change, and I now focus more on school!

Either my daughter grew up or the teachers in Central Middle School (Greenwich CT) are awesome. Either way, I noticed a remarkable improvement in my child's attitude towards school. She is excited to go to school every day, excited to learn, and she is now getting near all A's in every subject. The teachers at CMS, including their principal, really care about the 'individual' progress of my child. This is outstanding and an incredible testament to their hard work and dedication. Thank you.

my school is ok im not gonna say its the best cus then id be lying. most of the teachers are nice but some can be inapropriate. i would like if the school could have more other race people. and i'd also like if the school students could be sexuality tolerant. my school could improve by instead of saying DONT FIGHT BACK tell the teacher but that would only work in a perfect world but this isnt one instead DO FIGHT BACK.
