Highland Park School

My daughters have had an incredible experience at a Highland Park. Teachers and administration is very helpful and work well with students and parents alike.

HPS is incredibly outdated in both their resources and also their teaching ability. The teachers proudly announce they are teaching the exact same curriculum they have been drilling into elementary kids for 25 years! After teaching the exact stuff for so long, why are the classes making less and less progress every year? The test scores and overall progress reports speak for themselves. Safety is a huge concern..... the doors are open at 8 55 for anyone to pour in..... I have seen several parents walk right in with their kids all the way upstairs to their classrooms.... how can you screen every parent wandering around in here? I feel very unsafe leaving my child here, and then at end of the day the kids just walk out..... 6 year olds 7 year olds just free to walk out.... traffic is terribly layed out and disorganized. No systems for anything. HPS you need a total overhaul of everything !
