John Paterson School

I have a five year old in Paterson and words can't explain how pleased I am with this school. His teacher Mrs. Emishwiller is truly a god send. I receive weekly emails on Fridays breaking down what the children have done in all subjects. My child had some issues identifying some letters. She hand made him flash cards for us to do at home. She sends a monthly calendar breaking down what subjects to do at home with your child, so its not overwhelming for your child and yourself. The PTO is amazing in creating events to involve your family in your child's experience at John Paterson. The district has high expectations for the Kindergarteners but they do everything in there power to ensure the children meet these expectations. Very impressed with John Paterson

I have two children at John Paterson and am very pleased with the quality of education they are receiving. My children love the school, with is cheerfully colored interior, and the teachers. The teachers I have encountered there so far have been hard-working, dedicated and personable. They have been creative in working through these times of state-wide budgetary constraints by collaborating with each other to develop additional programs/seminars which far exceed typical standards which is in addition to the already existing enrichment program services the Newington school system provides. John Paterson School gets an A+.
