Bunker Hill School

I can not say enough positive things about this school. The staff is very well qualified. There is not a high turn around. I have had four children in the school over the past 12 years and 90 percent of the teachers from 12 years ago are still there. That says alot. The new principal is very motivated and has lots of great ideas for the school that she has been working on. There are monthly family night activities as well as meetings. Family involvement is a big part of the cirriculum. My oldest is now in the soar program at Kennedy and will soon be applying to colleges such as MIT, Stanford, and Carnegie Melon. I am proud to say that Bunker Hill is where he got his great start.

Bunker Hill has some of the finest teachers. I read the negatives on here and they are faulting the school and teachers for their childs's behavior issues. It is not the schools fault that your child was suspended. I think it is more parenting issue. Parents that expect schools to tolerate a childs poor behavior are a joke.

This school is a joke, they suspend kids for no reason and have too many kids in a classroom a lot of bullying from students and teachers, it's been the worst experience for any child same thing says other parents that I spoke to

The education your children will receive here is outstanding, my son attends here and is excelling! He is reading at a 6th grade level in the 4th grade. Waterbury public schools do have the best teachers and I have been really happy with my decision to send my son here.
