We had a great experience at this school. We moved from Canada ,the teachers were very supportive and motivate him a lot.Special Thanks to Mrs Bennett-Screws she always went the extra mile for him and the ESOL group loves her.We definitely have great memories from this school.Communication with teachers was good ,they always answer fast to my concerns.Again thank you to all the teaches who help my son for for this 2 great years.

My son attends kindergarten at Clay Springs and it's been such a great experience. His teacher is attentive and communicative. We truly love this school and is looking forward to first grade here.

Communication! Communication! Communication! i cannot express how important parent/teacher communication is in order for children to excel! I've had this problem in the past with teachers at this very school, and ONLY AT THIS SCHOOL. If my child isn't doing well, or slipping up, or anything of that sort, i expect to be notified immediately so that I can do my part as a parent and address whatever needs to be addressed. I understand that not all parents are actively involved with their child's education, but I am a parent that is attempting to do my part, so I need the teachers and the principal to meet me halfway. I should not have to wait for parent teacher conference to find out that my child is not doing as they should on more than one occasion. once again i should have been contacted! let the parent decide whether something is serious or not, as well as how they would like to deal with the situation, as what is acceptable to the teacher may not be acceptable to the parent. what frustrates me is that i took it upon myself to email the principal my concerns, and she did not have the decency to respond in any way shape or form. Again there goes the lack of communication! Another thing is, the school no longer has the children bring home an agenda, which is fine because they use a app called ClassDojo, but I don't think it is being used effectively. i was told that the children's homework would be posted daily, but it's not. I understand the importance of teaching the children responsibility, and that they are more than capable of writing down their own homework, but how are parents to make sure that their child is doing all their homework if they don't know what the homework is? Seriously this is very frustrating! I am just a parent trying to do my part..
