a terrible school, my daughter cried every day for a month, said that the teachers were yelling at her, the principal did not care. everywhere the police are standing near the school, as if you are coming to jail. teachers do not teach anything, they sit on their own at the table

We had a great experience at Boca Elem School during our sons Kindergarten year. Staff was positive, responsive and the culture of teamwork and personal character was very evident in the school. For First grade he attended the school closer to our home and it was OK, but we felt it had too many students. We decided to have our son re-attend Boca El this year again as a Choice program student. We are disappointed to learn AP Mr. Barenberg will be leaving but trust the leadership of Ms. Elfe to continue the schools mission and positive learning experience for students. Only negatives are aimed at the District. The over-emphasizing on common core testing, low emphasis on physical education and arts (half hour a day recess and 1 x a week PE). School lunch programs are not like what we had growing up-no hot plate of food with a vegetable cooked or served by cafeteria staff. Now it is mostly pre-prepared foods like chicken nuggets or pizza and/or packaged junk foods. Disappointing being that we are in Palm Beach County, the most affluent in the state and these choices are considered “healthier” alternatives.

My son was lucky enough to be reassigned to Boca Raton Elementary school in fourth and fifth grade. The school culture is positive, enthusiastic, and you can really see and feel that the teachers and administrators believe in the students, which leads to the students believing in themselves. My son has flourished so much at this school- both socially and academically. The Principal (Mrs. Elfe) and Assistant Principal (Mr. Barenburg) work tirelessly to improve the school. The teachers are dedicated beyond the classroom. They attend functions of all kinds to support their students. I can't say enough positive things about our experience here. We wish we could stay forever!

My son is in 4th grade and I absolutely love the 4th grade team. They are patient and ensure that EVERY child has the opportunity to learn and be successful. My son is VERY happy and he loves his teachers and his school.
