It's a good school overall with a number of dedicated staff members. The music and art programs are great and the number of after school clubs offered by the staff is amazing. However, I believe there is a disproportionate focus on the FSA. Even though this is a STEAM school which means that there is one extra special, science in the classroom is quite lacking until 5th grade when there is a science FSA. The amount of homework you get will be all over the place depending on the teacher. We'll have to wait and see how the new leadership impacts this school.

Terrible experience. Moved from out of state expecting this to be an "A" rated school. The gifted program is adequate at best. Overabundance and reliance on standardized testing as a means to educate. Rampant bullying and students are disrespectful. Not a good enviroment at all. Check another school out before sending your kids here - lots of these "5" star reviews are inflated and manipulated by the faculty for perception.

I am a parent of 4th grade twin girls who started at Waters Edge since kindergarten. They were enrolled in the regular classes, recommended by their teaqcher to be assessed, successfully tested and moved to the gifted program in 2nd grade. They've loved all their teachers and have really enjoyed going to school there. We closely monitor their assignments and regularly help them with homework and projects and are very happy with what is being taught.Let's face it, kids will be taking standardized tests all their lives so I am all for building this proficiency into the curriculum. I disagree with those who say it is the only focus at the school. That's nonsense. Teachers are great, the principle is excellent, aftercare is affordable and fun for the kids and the counselors are very caring. The school also offers lots of extra-curricular activities and programs for free or at an added costs after school (dance lessosn, musical instruments, gardening club). As a parent that has attended A+ schools all his life, I am very happy to have found this school!

The school is great The problem are the attendants at administration office. They are always with bad humor! They does not have patience to explain and provide information to the children's parents!
