We have been at this school for 3 years with no issues or complaints. The teachers and staff are amazing and welcoming. Both my children are very happy here at Cape Elementary

Wish we could have sent all our kids here. But I heard it wasn't as awesome back in the day when we were enrolling kids #1-3, which is how we ended up elsewhere. PTO is the best of any school we've gone to. Very involved and you can tell the money is going to the kids. Lots of fun activities that cost the parents little to nothing as the PTO pays for it. Lots of family involved activities, holiday's are celebrated and encouraged. Which is refreshing as our last elementary school didn't want to offend the few and ruined holidays for the many. So far the school is run like a well oiled machine. Communication is quick, and many ways to contact the teachers and staff. They do clubs and events all the time. Field trips are a couple times a year depending on the class and if in Gifted or standard classes. Which is nice! They tend to be geared towards what they are currently learning. Like Inventions and they went to the Edison Ford Winter Estates, etc. We have 3 more years here and hope they're as good as the first 2.

I had two children at this school and I have to say the front desk staff was great and most teachers were great. However, we experience one teacher who had anger issues and actually flipped my child's desk over, spilling the contents on the floor and causing much embarrassment. I was appalled. What kind of teacher does this? I considered it a form of bullying and when I approached the principal about the issues, she told me she had done the same thing to a student once! If you have angers issues you should not be in education. Students should feel safe in their classrooms and not worry about being embarrassed in front of peers. Please research teachers before going here.

Teachers are great! However, principal is horrible. Does not address issues and don't care.
