Westglades Middle School

This school is safer than a lot of the close by public options however, that does not make it the best option. If you are lucky to get the right teachers in the right classes and have a group of friends it is ok. If not it will be a miserable 3 years. Middle school is hard on kids and they just want to fit in and the teasing and ill behaved students are not reprimanded. They have free reign.

Extremely unhappy. The school is in Parkland but doesn’t mean it’s a Good school.

Overall, in this school there are great teachers and great staff. They really do care about their students, and the elective and corpse options holds a wide variety of options. This is a very organized, clean and well kept school.mHOWEVER--the students at this school can have quite the damage to their self confidence. It's not that they do drugs. But Parkland is a rich county, and what comes with this school is spoiled, rich white kids. You know, the ones with the newest Victoria Secrets sweaters and have popular cliques. And a lot of curse words. Your child will learn about some things, bad things that you might not want them to know. The students curse, and laugh at those who aren't as cool as them. But if you look, you may find a couple friends.Overall, I would recommend this school, however parents beware if you are trying to shield your children from some things. But the education here is on point. And I speak from experience, because I went to this school myself.

This is a great school with great teachers. My child is finishing up his years at Westglades Middle and has had a great experience and is ready for High School!
