I went here when it first opened and it was wonderful, best time of my life. NOW THIS IS NOT A MAGNET SCHOOL!! The school district would not change the name, it is just like every other public school with the exception of having a Dance program...My daughter goes here and is constantly dreading it. The teachers are good but they have about given up on these kids. The kids are hellions. My daughter is constantly bullied and told to ignore it when she goes to a teacher. Her dance teacher treats her poorly because she is a little over weight. They have no extra-curricular activities available except basketball for 2 months and Steel drum band...which you have to audition for at the beginning of the year. Overall this school sounds great on paper and on their website, but it is NOT A GOOD SCHOOL. The rating keeps dropping, a D school now I believe. SEND YOUR KIDS SOMEWHERE ELSE!! And this is coming form a former student...

This is the school I always wanted to attend as a little girl now that I have my own I feel like it's not what I thought it would be. They are always short on staff my child always at least 3x a week had to go to different classes sometimes not her grade level and now they do RTI in which I think isn't helping out , my daughter who doesn't have to go to RTI because she is at a grade level goes to other resources instead of a class that will challenge her . I am pulling her out and finding a different school.

Every student and their family is part of the FPMSA family. The students and staff look after each other and keep all the students on track. I have had the pleasure of working in this school for several years and wish to continue. The students are engaged in the arts in the regular class as well as in their "Arts" classes. The staff is amazing and very support of weather you are a teacher or a parent. As a teacher I know every student on campus, it is easy when you have either had them or they have been in the class next to you. The families can always ask for help no matter the situation. We are community that raises children to be enriched leaders and professionals.
