6 years at school with no issues. Our child has had a great experience and we love it.

I wish Principal Jackie Sneldon cared as much about the students as she does money and fund raisers. The principal sets the tone for the school and since she has been office there, things have went down hill. She is arrogant, non-caring and does not listen. She won't have important meetings or call back about pressing, urgent matters but you bet your bottom dollar she'll be calling to raise more money for the school. It is obvious where her priorities are.

This school is terrible. The school teaches to the state test. Differentiation based on abilities does not exist- My son entered this school in 2017-2018 school year as a 4th grader. Last year he completed 5th grade Singapore Math curriculum. He is currently doing 6th grade Singapore Math at home. They have demoted him from 6th grade math back to starting the 4th grade math all over. So much for addressing differentiating based on student abilities. The teachers are border line incompetent. they look for ways of not doing as opposed to doing for the students. The students are made to fit into one mold regardless of their abilities. Administration-I have attempted to make multiple contacts with the principal but Jackie Sneddon has failed to respond. We relocated to Jacksonville over the summer. Last March our family drove to Jax from Maryland to meet with Sneddon, she was a now show. After starting school it came to our attention that due to late buses and long cafeteria lines, our son was not able to eat breakfast about half the time. Sneddon was asked about this and there was not response. At a recent meeting to discuss his curriculum, she was suppose to attend, again a no show. If you are a parent, do NOT expect to speak to the principal at this school!Students at this school are NOT we behaved. Profanity being shouted on the buses is the rule. Am not driving him to school. Second grade girl was found to be discussing oral sex on the bus. Home work is virtually non-existent in language and math is so simplistic and repetitive it is a joke. If you can possibly avoid it - Do not send your child to Greenland Pines Elementary.
