I have two children (2nd grade and 4th grade) enrolled in Sabal Palm Elementary school. Our experience has been wonderful. The teachers are enthusiastic and responsive. I can tell they enjoy what they do. I children are happy, thriving, learning and growing. The PTA is very active and welcoming. We have had an incredibly positive experience since my oldest was in Kindergarten.

The best decision that we made was putting our kid in this school. Our daughter was going to Pine Forest School of the Arts for kindergarten and first grade and the school rating went down so we decided to switch her to her home school, which was Sabal Palm and I’m so glad we did. Our daughter was behind in academics when we switched and now she’s doing great. The teachers stay after school to tutor the kids for FSA and go above and beyond for their students. So glad we made the switch!

Reviews are mentioned to share one's experience with what or who they are writing about. This school is good for the structure it had and that clearly shows of their leadership. The Principal Graham is excellent in every facet of taking care of our children and listening to concerns of the parents. Children are in a safe and clean environment. But she cannot babysit teachers which is where the negative review begins. Moving to this city has challenges and the biggest is school aged children. If your child is going or in the higher grades of 4 and 5th, do not put or keep them here. The teachers are of the lowest teacher in mankind. They degrade children, and simply put, can't teach a fly. Your child will not be prepared to move unless parents or guardians supplement and or stay on these teachers. I have had to correct their grading of items, incorrect math problems with no possible solutions and their overall lack of teaching knowledge shows. Waters, Haywood (not sure how she made teacher of the year, she's loud and very obnoxious and do not like it if a parent corrects her wrong), Bell (she's just the worst example of a teacher in that it's time for her mean self to retire). These are 5th grade teachers that will not do anything but degrade, yell, BULLY your child to support their lack of teaching and lack of knowledge of what they are supposed to teach. Simply put, your 5th grader will leave this school not much prepared for middle school. They will have self esteem issues or are one of the bad products that schools often blame on lack of parenting. Fortunately for my son, I involved myself 300 percent this year because it was seen in day one of this school year that these teachers were not the epitome of a grade school teacher. Actually, last school year, we'd walk past 5th grade classes going to 4th grade class and I remember saying to myself, God, I hope my son doesn't get any of these teachers. Well, it's all the school has. This school need to rethink the quality of education and clean house of these disgraceful 5th grade teachers. It will show that the leadership is concerned about their kids and educational track. Because for now, they are creating bad seeds to pass to the middle school that are confused as ever and it won't get better, just worse for the kids, because of the difficulty of not being prepared for 6th grade.
