We moved to the area from Miami last summer and my daughter started 1st grade at Lighthouse, having come from a Montessori preschool background. We were a little anxious at first because of the large size of the school, however our experience has been excellent. The class sizes are small based on Palm Beach county standards, and our daughter's teacher did an excellent job at giving individualized care. The school is extremely organized. Although public school schedules are very busy, my daughter learned a lot and came home happy every day. I would like to see more money go towards classes like art, music, PE, etc. After school activity options are nice. Overall, I recommend this school for anyone looking at relocating to the PB area. I'm a working mom, but I'm glad to see how passionate stay at home parents are about volunteering. Lots of great involvement and support from families.

My daughter has attended for nearly 2 years. We are very happy with the quality of teachers and staff. We came from private, which I thought was the 'way to go'. Now that we have been at this school, you couldn't pay ME to go to private. This school has it all. The aftercare is the BEST! Pickup is awful, but you can park and walk your self in and get your child that way. I park and walk my daughter in each morning..no problem at all. She is in gifted, and I really think it's not much different than the rest of the classes. They never 'tell' the kids 'you are 'better'...as I have heard some schools do. School has counselor on staff. Also has all the 'extras'..art, computers, PE and music. Why pay?? Sure they need a donation here and there..but who cares! Small fraction of why you'd pay at private..trust me I know!

Jupiter Lighthouse. I would caution each parent and school faculty member to get informed about Common Core initiative, which this school participates in. This is government sponsored initiative that will only hinder our children's ability to learn. Please research it.

Our children attended Lighthouse Elementary for three years. The affluent parent body insists their children attend the gifted program, which acts as a smaller school within a school. Not a true gifted program, the student body here is comprised of children who have had the benefit of a rigorous preschool experience and come in with first grade level skills, so it is basically a year ahead of the average curriculum. The gifted program teachers are also much stronger than the others, so you definitely want your children here. The pickup and drop off procedures are a nightmare and be warned that parents start lining up in running cars for an hour before dismissal. Parking is scarce and rainy days can severely impact your morning and afternoon.
