The Villages Elementary Of Lady Lake School

I would rate this school a 9 out of 10. Only because there can not be a perfect school. But the difference in my childs learning from the last school attended is remarkable. I hope all of Lake county schools will aspire to be like this elementary school.

My son has attended VELL for the last 4 years and absolutely loves going to school! That says a lot about the school as a whole. It amazes me how the teachers and staff remember each child's names as oppose to when I went to school the kids names that were memorized were the trouble makers..lol. Anyways, the teachers and staff seem to care about the children not only for their educational needs but ALL aspects of their well being. Granted some care more than others but as a whole, they're an awesome crew. My son loved Mrs. Corkhill, Mrs. Short, Mrs. Mills (his favorite so far), Mrs. Wiggins and of course Ms. Collins. He also loved going to the Media Center with Mrs. Carajohn and Mrs. Willis. They are the best!! I would absolutely recommend VELL.

SO MANY OF THE TEACHERS ARE CARING AND HELPFUL. I HAVE A CHILD IN MRS. BRYANT'S SECOND GRADE CLASS THE TEACHER IS EXCELLENT. SHE KEEPS YOU INFORMED AND WORKS WITH THE PARENTS TO HELP EACH CHILD. I HAVE A CHILD IN THE THIRD GRADE AND I WAS NOT AS LUCKY. AS ONE CHILD EXCELLS THE OTHER HATES GOING TO SCHOOL. THE SPECIALIZED TEACHERS ALSO ARE VERY GIVING OF INFORMATION AND TOOLS TO HELP THE INDIVIDUAL CHILDREN. THEIR TITLE ONE RESOURCE TEACHER IS VERY KNOWLEDGABLE ABOUT READING COMPREHENSION. SHE HAS HELPED US GET MY THIRD GRADED INTO A SPECIAL PROGRAM TO HELP HER IN READING. THESE ARE THE REASONS I THINK THE SCHOOL IS ABOVE AVERAGE.

My granddaughter is in 3rd grade this year and is doing an amazingly great job thanks to the amazing teaching staff. I taught elementary grades for 30 years and am overwhelmed at the progress she has made. Thank You!!
