I used to love this school however over the past few years administration has made this school not as enjoyable for the kids any longer. It is all about having good testing scores yet taking away rewards for doing such a great job. It is high stress and no rewards. No honor roll, no more father/daughter dance, no 5th grade dance all the things these kids used to look forward to have been taken away. It's time for some good changes

All 3 of our kids attended Frontier from Kinder to 5th grade and very happy to report what a excellent school this has been for the kids and us. Except for one, very rude employee (not a teacher) ALL the staff has always been respectful, professional, experienced and very helpful. The Principal Ms. Susan Groth and the AP Ms. Laurie Wilt are AMAZING! With all the current demands and mandatory tests, etc, they and all teachers are able to achieve such great and caring connection with all the students. We had some issues, but we were always able to solve them with the guidance, respect and professionalism that all staff(except that one) showed us and our kids each time. The kids are soon moving on to HS, yet we will always remember what a wonderful school is Frontier Elementary.

This school used to be amazing but current administration has made it into a rigid, unfriendly environment. Most the teachers are great, but they are visibly stressed out by the demands on them. The kids are not treated like kids. No recess for two months leading up to testing. That's where all the focus is. They care more about test scores than celebrating kids as a whole person. The rewards do not motivate the kids and they stopped doing honor roll a few years back. The kids deserve better! A miserable place to be in recent years.

For the most part this is a wonderful school and good teachers. Some teachers not so nice.
