Jane S Roberts once had a decent reputation but the leadership and overall teaching staff in the middle school has been horrible to say the least. As a parent, I would warn anyone to stay away from this school. Overcrowded classes, teachers who do not respect leadership in this school, and the Principals do not take charge of their faculty and let them bend the rukes when it comes to the grading system the county provides. It is not a good school, there are good alternatives near by.

My daughter is in the IEP Program, the teachers are caring, the specialist are great! My daughter is in a regular class setting now in the 4th grade. The key with these students at home is sitting with them to study! I have a tutor 3 x a week which has done wonders. Yes, children are now doing allot more than what we did when we were kids, but in turn they are smarter, our education system is pumping out more work, more test, and from Monday through Thursday's it is school nights in my home, this is the key. You need to check there book bags, and you need to send your child teachers an email when you have a concern. The assistant principal Ms. Quintero also is golden!! She is very involved with the teachers and our children, they are all working very hard to bring out the best in the students !Great school!

My son is finishing up 5th grade and had an excellent teacher, but the office staff on the other hand are just rude. When calling the school to report absenteeism or to ask a question, the tone of the female that answers the phone makes it feel like it s a big inconvenience that you are calling. Remember, Its all in the tone of the voice that can rub someone the wrong way and make a very bad impression. I have also found that when I have gone into the office to ask a question regarding something, I get an I don t know, only such and such knows . If you are constantly answering I don t know , then I am sorry, you shouldn t be at your job. I sense that these ladies have worked at JSR for quite awhile, and they should know everything. Our kids spend more time in school then with family and I really hope this is not how they are spoken to while they are at school? Ultimately, The first impression is created the second someone steps inside or calls on the phone. Adjust the attitude.....
