This school has 2 security guards. Kids are left barely supervised before class and during lunch. Classrooms have too many kids. Classes with two teachers which have twice as many kids in them are not guaranteed a substitute if one calls out. This school is not setting up our kids or their teachers for success. Principal Michelle Coto has no regard for parents concerns. Rather sit in the office and chat/flirt with the officer than take 5 min to talk to a parent. When addressed with security concerns she sent a counselor to tell me that she could not afford a 3rd security officer. If I was really worried about the car drop off line I could just drop off my child later in the morning or walk around to the walkers drop off (fyi no security or adult supervision at the gate)

I would rate this school 10-10 teachers are always helpful and strive for the success of the students. My daughter loves going to school everyday because of how amazing her teachers have been in keeping her interested and learning.

I attended the original school (1959-1963). I have heard both sides good and bad since the new school was built in the mid '70's. Can't really rate this school now. All I can say is that I had great teachers from (1959-63.)

Can't rate the school as I attended there 58 years ago. Things have changed, I'm sure! I lived at the northeast corner of sw22nd ave and sw 16th street and was usually found in a vacant lot 1 block from my house after the school would call the house reporting me absent. I was very intimidated by the school as I was only 4 when I went to 1st grade. Too many "big" kids there! LOL! The picture on the school's website doesn't look familiar at all. When I attended the hallways were open air. Wish I could find old photos from 1951!
