Horrible! And sad - this used to be a decent school that seemed to be trending up with good staff and a better grade rating. I wouldn't be surprised if this school is now rated a D or F. Most of our friends (moved) and teachers have left. Admin doesn't care, most of the staff at the front desk if horrible - there's some woman that answers the phone who I think just hates people in general. My recommendation is to find a better school. Until the district makes some major changes there it will only get worse. Not to mention the school is very old. Our kids were told not to drink the water from the fountains because it has lead in the water. There is no shade for the kids when they are in car loop waiting in 95-degree heat. Overall you just get this sense that they really don't care.

Cypress Elementary has been an absolute nightmare for my children and for me to deal with. The standing VP for the last several years is condescending when speaking to parents, and intimidates children. I had to remove both of my children from Cypress due to frequent staff changes and inappropriate conduct with my children.

We have been at Cypress for 7 years and are very happy with the academic and social aspects. We have 3 children and are extremely happy. Two of our children have special needs and the staff is amazing with their care! We would recommend this school fully.

this is our 3rd year at cypress with my older daughter. due to where we live, she was transferred for her needs for some of her individual educational plan goals and our zoned school does not allow this. i only wish the district would allow her sister to go to this school as well. this is a wonderful school and I am currently trying to find a place to rent in the zone for cypress so that both girls may finish out their elementary education in this school. it has exceeded my expectations in every area and all of the staff is more than willing to help out where needed and to top it off, the volunteer program is absolutely wonderful!
