John F. Turner, Senior Elementary School

My oldest is now in 8th grade and has severe learning disabilities did extremely well at Turner thanks to the wonderful teachers and staff. They did what they needed to do to find out where her issues were and worked with her now her learning disabilities are not much of an issue for her. My youngest is currently in 4th grade at Turner and has had amazing teachers (prek to now) who worked with her and me to make sure she was where she needs to be. Never once did a teacher get annoyed with her (which I give props because she is extremely hiper active and can be overwhelming at times) and work with her on being able to control her over hyperness. The administration is also amazing with my children and have made sure the kids are not only safe but happy also. If there are any issues they will contact me and I can contact them with no issues. I can't praise this school enough. The staff, teachers, and students are all amazing.

Turner is an amazing school. My oldest (who is now in 7th grade) went to Turner every year except for 1st grade and the first couple months of second grade and my 3rd grader has never gone to another school. The teachers and staff are amazing and communicate extremely well. I have always heard from each teacher my kids have had at least once a week. They also are extremely caring towards the kids. My daughter went through a major life event a few months back and every staff member helped her deal with it. I also went to Turner myself for my entire elementary school career and they were awesome 30 years ago also. The teachers were so amazing that I still remember everyone of them and can still tell you how those amazing teachers shaped my life. Turner has lived up to my memories of being an awesome school for over 30 years.

My boys love going to Turner. They always come home happy and that says a lot about a school. I was a little hesitant sending them here based on the reviews some people wrote but I think the teachers are wonderful and caring. I feel it's based on the child yes it does take a good teacher as well but the child has to want to learn also. I had a family member attend here 10 years ago and he raves about John f Turner. Don't let these other reviews scare you away.

Every year my kids get teachers that they end up switching two or three times. My child needs consistency and getting used to one teacher only to have someone new come in not once but twice this year in only the first month of school is ridiculous. Luckily our family is moving soon and my child will go elsewhere.
