Last school year was a huge disappointment. I can understand resources being limited or non existent due to lack of funding but, not returning phone calls for important issues or being neglectful of parents safety concerns for their children is unacceptable. We waster an entire year dealing with this school that we can not get back. Any progress made was by me and my family setting up a routine at home to pick up lake Marion creek's slack.

The school is full of bully's. The Dean of Students just brushes off parents concerns. I've never seen the Principal, the Assistant Principal not great help at all. This School needs an Intervention!

This school has changed into a middle school. All the teachers are nice and I think I got the nicest teacher in this school.

I have been so reluctant to review this school because feedback can be so subjective. However, I am so done with this school/district/county that we are in the process of moving and have found this website so helpful in my new search that I figured I would assist those planning to have a child attend this school. This is an elementary school with very little to offer their students. The perception is that everyone is poverty stricken, lives off of the government, and is uneducated. Therefore, when they do finally put together an event, it is done at the last minute and half- hazard executed. The previous principal was disengaged, would not return calls or emails. Under her tutelage, the school went from a B to a D. As a result, a new principal was put in place. I called today to see if I could pick up my child's FCAT results and was told the principal has yet to pick them up from the district. I think that should give any parent a good sensation as to what they can expect. We moved to this area when the economy affected everyone with a job. Home prices were practically free. The saying "you get what you pay for" pretty much sums it up.
