Spruce Creek High School

Great district and high school-one of the best in area. Homes sell very fast here in Port Orange due to the schools.

I have never gone to a school where the students were so stuck up and rude, The teachers aren't any better they only pay attention to certain students and god forbid you actually raise your hand to ask a question because no one will notice you're there. I've never had a problem making friends anywhere I go,but at this school I wasn't able to, these kids won't give you the time of day if you aren't like them and I'll say it again I've never had this problem. On top of that there's a serious bullying problem at this school and when I contacted guidance over this issue I was told " oh but the kids here are nice." Obviously not if people have been harassing me. Guidance doesn't do their jobs correctly, my transcripts from my other school weren't even requested until the school year was mostly over that's sloppy work. Whoever said SCHS is diverse is lying, It's a mostly rich white kid school with drugs and drinking everywhere, these kids brag about it too. It's dirty but most school now a days are. SCHS has always had the reputation of thinking they're better than everyone else, they had it back when my mom was in school and that was the late 80's-early 90's so don't think this behavior is going to change because it won't.

There could be better teachers at this school. It's pretty overcrowded and stinky too. The IB program is good and all but you need to put in effort to get good scores and grades. If you are a slacker I suggest you go somewhere else.

Seriously? A person is complaining about school bad mouthing other schools? This person and/or their child could not have gone to Spruce Creek and have no right to rate the school. Like most schools in Volusia county this is an outstanding school. What sets it apart from others is an optional and exceptional IB program.
