Sanford Middle School

I am a parent of a 7th grader who did the GEMs program and now is doing the honors program. My daughter is doing incredibly well, she repeats at home all the time how happy she is in this school, she enjoys learning. The school offers health sciences courses and is the perfect school for students who are planning to go to Seminole High to prepare for a career in medicine. Last year we met in a shopping store the parent of a former SMS student, she was being recruited by schools such as Harvard. Just last week, we met again, and her daughter is now attending Princeton. On the negative side, the school has a gigantic student body, students who don't have the maturity or the discipline, might enjoy schools with less students so they don't get lost in the numbers.

This was the best school for me. I had amazing teachers especially Ms. Wilson and Mrs. Cazel.

Very unprofessional school authorities.. Never reply to email on same day . Sometimes they don't even bothered to reply . In case of emergency or for support , how long a parent can wait for the reply ? How a school doesn't communicate with the parents or ignore their email ? Communication is the essence to build up successful educational environment. Seminole county school district should investigate this situation.

Unorganized, rude teachers, constant fights with students, after school pick up is a nightmare, Teacher loses students homework and student gets docked marks. Anyone can freely walk into the courtyard where children are. Homeless people drinking beer on the other side of the fence.The cherry on top would be the low income high crime area it sits smack in the middle of. I would never recommend this school to anyone, and anyone giving it a 5 stars needs to reevaluate .
