Speaking as a former student --- this school is outright terrible when it comes to bullying. They shelter bullies all while punishing the victims for "tattling". The teachers here do not care about your child, so make sure you let your child know that you are supportive and will help them if someone is bothering them.I was turned away by a PE coach for "tattling" when trying to explain that a group of boys had beaten me up just minutes prior. I got in trouble the one time I fought back.Send your kids somewhere else, even if you have to go out of your way. This school isn't worth it for the convenience.

All three of my school aged children at Suncoast have thrived and blossomed as students! They love school. All of our concerns were addressed and adequately managed quickly and appropriately. This school means business, and they are joyful and kind. As a family, we couldn't ask for more.

I have asked the school (Suncoast Elementary) to test my daughter for a year now so they finally tested her for a 504 based on behavior which she does not have and did not test her for her learning disabilities and I was told a student has to fail 2 times before they get help with a reading specialist. I think they have failed in the No Child Left Behind Act. I am still trying to have her evaluated for learning disabilities here in the state of Florida. I have to say the state of Indiana is so much more advanced and on top of their struggling students. Its sad to say but Florida chooses to let their students fail and increases the risk of dropouts.
