Brooker Creek Elementary School

We moved to this district for the schools. Mistake! My son had mild special needs that first of all were completely missed in his first two screenings followed by RIDICULOUS accomodations that would require a 1.5 hour bus ride to a far away school instead of providing services at his zoned school. Since this district does not offer prek unless there is early intervention needed, my son missed absolutely critical help. The district hires incompetent early intervention staff and this school did not accommodate him. I would stay away from this entire district. We moved out of state and have found MILES better services up North. My daughter had similar needs in preschool and got early intervention almost immediately. She is now ahead of her class! Since my son was only at the school for a very short time I don't have a lot more to comment other than the PTA is nice and active and I waited to post a review until my house sold and our company relocated to a part of the USA that does more to fund special education. In a retirement state you are always going to struggle against elderly voting down services and why bring your equity to a place that doesn't value you?

Very good if your child fits in and doesn't have needs that don't fit into any of their designated boxes. My kids all got good a good education at this school. I'm disappointed at how the issues are dealt with by the administration. There is little support provided to teachers to help them thru student issues. They let teachers deal with them on their own and tie their hands so they have little to no recourse for escalation.

My son has received an excellent education at BCE k-4. The teachers are supportive, the school environment encourages community involvement. The Gifted teachers do a wonderful job of supplementing the Reg. Ed. curriculum & encourages Gifted learners. The office staff & Administration work together well as a team. I highly recommend this school.

I love this school so much my both kids went there, teachers, staff, principal ect... Are the best! Great environment and teaching. I highly recommend this school to anyone moving to this area.
