Indian Trails Middle School

My experience at this school was the absolute worst that I have ever had. I have 5 children and I've lived in other states and dealt with other school systems and ITMS is definitely the worst.

I feel optimistic that ITMS is being rebuilt and that with parents and administration working together and listening to one another, it will be the type of school we have always expected in one of the top rated counties in FL. Prior to the arrival of the new principal, Dr Johnson, I would not have recommended this school. In the last 5 years there had been a decline in the quality of courses offered, staff turnover, and overall a negative atmosphere for my students. Things seem to be changing for the better. Be an involved parent, it will make a difference here.

I make this post in hopes that other parents and kids dont have to go through what we did. This school has absolutely no help or assistance for children being bullied and would rather brush aside the kid that's being victimized instead of doing something to stop it. After many meetings with Administration and being just push the side we have made the decision that it's best to remove my kid from this school before something worse can happen. The safety of the children is not a priority at this school and they are more concerned about how they are ranked in the county so that they can get their extra funding. they don't care about the children they don't care about the safety and they're only concerned about themselves. To any incoming parents and children please make sure you look out for yourself and look out for each other and always speak up because making noises the only way that this school ever react to any situation

My kids go here. They have wonderful teachers. The principal communication with parents is excellent. Safety is of utmost importance. The staff is very careful about who enters the school, even though they know me well by now, I get carded every time I walk into the office. Guidance counselors are very accommodating. They offer robotics, computer training, culinary, TV & media and art. Their chorus and theater programs are superior! Love this school.
