High Shoals Elementary School

I have two children at HSES and I can't imagine sending them anywhere else! We recently moved and were granted permission to stay through the HB251! We absolutely love the teachers and love that they truly care about the kids that walk through that door!

HSES is the newest of the Oconee County public elementary schools. We have been very pleased with the administration, teachers, and parental involvement here at High Shoals. The PTO is absolutely phenomenal--above and beyond the norm--and has raised funds for great things like a science lab, playground and library improvements, and an outdoor running track. My kids have done well academically, and they miss High Shoals during the summer! Our entire family enjoys all the family fun nights at the school as well--dances, festivals, picnics. It's a small school where the principal and assistant principal, office staff, etc. knows all the kids by name, even teachers who have not had my kids as students know who they are. We love it here!
