This is the first year my children have attended this school and it has been a disappointment. Parents hardly participate, and the school prefers it that way. The staff dislikes when parents are constantly in the school. It is required that you take a volunteer class before you can participate in anything. School is over at 2:20 but at the end of each day, they make the parents wait outside for 20 to 30 minutes before they release the students. They also make the students sit on the ground outside before they leave, even if it is raining. In the morning, all students eat breakfast in their classrooms except pre-k. Preschoolers have to wait until the rest of the school has gotten their breakfast and they would eat in the cafeteria. They also make the rest students who have gotten their breakfast stand up, while holding their food in a bag, and wait until they can go to class and eat. The bags are so cheap that children's bags rip and the food comes out of the bottom. My children's teachers are very nice and they have learned a lot in pre-k and kindergarten but I have seen some of the other teachers yell at the students and be very mean to them.

This school has been a disappointment. My children are not challenged in their school work. My children have attended this school since Kindergarten. If a child achieves academically, they are limited by the class. Parent participation is practically non-existent, resulting in many students not having their academic or behavioral issues address in a timely manner to set the foundation for excellence as they further their education. Suggestions made by outside licensed therapists for enhancing my child s educational experience were summarily dismissed. I believe this school has potential, however it is definitely lacking the necessary amount of support staff to ensure that the children a learning environment in which they can excel. The classroom sizes are too big to ensure that all children get the necessary attention required to have a solid foundation of the fundamentals reading, writing and arithmetic. Funds being invested into top of the line teaching equipment should be investing in hiring more qualified teachers.
