South Forsyth Middle School

See my above answer. All middle schools should learn how SFMS does with they do. The only complaint we have is that there is not an 8th grade graduation ceremony.

This school is ok, but the 8th grade football players for the 2018-2019 school year are a mean group of bullies. These kids make fun of anyone not playing football. Even worse, the kids that are “the touchdown scorers” are the ones that treat people the worst. This is the same group that vapes, but parents think their kids are perfect, so they get away with it. Someone should speak to this group, especially the team “leaders.”

For a student who usually gets A's and B's and does what they're told, SFMS is okay. It is neither bad nor great. When you look at test scores for the state, sfms is #1, but I do not believe that reflects the actual learning experience of the students. I have seen multiple cases in which students that needed extra support or had behavior issues, and thier situation was not properly handled. I've seen children yelled by teachers and administration, when they could've sat down and calmly spoke to them. I'm not saying it's bad to discipline students, but yelling at them is not the right way to do it. It is not a positive environment for students, and sfms does not encourage "wanting to learn". I do not recommend this school to children with specific needs, administration will not help your child succeed.
