I am a seventh grader at this school and i'm going to warn you why you shouldn't go to this poor excuse of a school. One the school is old and there is mold on the ceilings not very healthy. The classrooms are pretty humid and the eating doesn't work at all and in this time of the year it's really cold. Next the food you can't change much about that sub par. The students now this is where it gets bad the students say racist things, they degrade you, they make you feel incompetent about yourself, and honestly once the teachers sit down at their desk they ignore everything some kids will be fighting and the teachers won't notice. The discipline of this school is pretty poor the staff is practically blind. Another thing about the students they bully you constantly and they say its just a joke that honestly annoys me to another degree. If you aren't with the "cool kids" you are practically ignored and they constantly and i mean constantly insult you. It hurts alot but there are some people students who are kind and you can actually call them friends. The band you may as well go to another school if you want a good band unless your willing to play low level music( this part is purely opinion and should be taken lightly). Overall the building is in poor condition, the students are more or less rude and care nothing about you, the teachers know their stuff but can be quite a bit blind to stuff that happens in class, the library has pretty good books, and there are better schools for your child.

They seem to be fine as long as you don't have to talk to them. Trying to get a meeting with the principal is less likely then winning the lottery and I still have yet to meet the man. I have to resort to threats just to have meetings! And I mean lawsuit type threats. They wouldn't speak to me about a bully problem on the bus a few months ago because I'm just a step dad. I had to get a form filled out by my stepsons mother and notarized just so they would speak to me about a bully. And the best part is they called his mom thinking I faked the document and the notary stamp. And good luck getting your voicemails listen to and a call back. I had to resort to calling the Paulding County School District just so something would happen about the bullies. And still the school did not call us. The teachers seem good I like them and the bus driver is great my stepson loves his classes but the administration on the other hand is poor and that is putting it nicely.

I love East Paulding Middle. The staff is very helpful when I have questions. The teachers really want all students to succeed. They go up and beyond to get them where they need to be. The new Principal is awesome and very approachable. They also have respectable students. i really like the fact it's a multiracial school.

As a Grandmother, my personal observations allow me to give a "Big Shout Out " to the Principal and Staff at EPMS....Teachers outside the front doors of the school greeting students in the morning..( The Principle too )! During CRCT week ; lots of teachers giving high-fives to encourage student morale . Even had the Principle help with my car battery on a rainy afternoon in car line! The Special Education Teacher that showed a friendly and caring attitude to her student and his mother in car line... Did not go unnoticed ! You are awesome ! So proud these people are helping to form my Grandaughters life skills by example! And, as they advertise on T.V...."I approve this message."
