It wouldn't be my first or even second choice for academics. This school lacks the guidance needed by counselors for the children to succeed and be college ready. You have a 50/50 mixture of great and awful teachers which in my opinion isn't good enough. If you're child is going into performing arts then this would be a top choice. The teachers in the FAME program encourage you to excel. Some teachers methods are better than others but my understanding is that's how the performing arts world works. The students are fine. Normal teenager behavior in my opinion. I feel that considering the world we live in my NMHS is safer than most in the area. Overall, it's a great school for performing arts, mediocre school for education.

The teachers seem like they really love their jobs. The students were well behaved at all school functions that I have attended.

New Manchester High School has been leading the charge to change the stigma that plagued the school during its early years. It is a school that excels in all levels the promotes a well rounded student and students learning experience. From the FAME program to the BETA club and everything outside and in between New Man is leading the change by developing strong, curious, innovative and determined young adults

Some of the teachers are great, but upper management is of evil.
