Requested an appointment with the Assistant Principal but never heard back. Every parents feedback is important to make this school a success and I just feel that the school lost one such opportunity. Secondly, the school is too much dependent on parents for a childs behavior when the child is spending most of the time in school. As a parent of a kinder gardener I have only received complaints from his teacher. Even if it was as simple as breaking a line during lunch. The teachers should work more closely on this with some support from parents. not other way round. I do not rate this school high because of this experience. Wanted to make sure my voice is heard and other parents get a chance to review this feedback.

Notice that prior to this review the most recent was from over 2 years prior. In those 2 years the school as dropped off significantly. The administration expressly focuses on the bottom end and ignores the accelerated and gifted kids. The teacher turn over at this school is also appalling, chased away by the administration. One administrator has been seen and heard scolding a teacher publicly. If your child has a learning disability eventually this will be the school for you. Especially since there are reports of teachers being forced to change grades so no kid fails. Even when they didn't turn in homework or clearly failed tests. If you want your child challenged and motivated find another school. This is not a shortcoming of the teachers but more so the administration which requires the teachers to basically ignore the middle to top end students. There is no Accelerated Reading program to motivate and challenge the kids. The STEM focus is almost non-existent. This is because the administration doesn't want the lowest performing kids to feel bad. But you should not really mind that your kid comes home and says they're bored at school. You should not be concerned that your child's love for reading has evaporated.Bottom line is the administration focuses on remediating the lowest kids because that is the experience they have. However in doing so they don't recognize or serve the higher level and abilities representative of the attendance area.

My children have been going to Wilson Creek for the last four years. I am pleased with the teachers and feel that my children are learning quite a bit. I love the exposure they are getting to all different cultures and heritages as the school really embraces everyone.

My child attends Wilson Creek (about to begin his 3rd year). Overall it's been a good experience. While I've experienced some challenges with having the right "fit" with one particular teacher. I was able to work through it with the support of the administration. I can't say I would not have had similar challenges elsewhere. There are many activities through the year for students, and a very active PTA.
