Fairly homogeneous population. Disconnected school counselor who is really just a paper pusher. We have been at this school for 5 years and only just met the Principal last year. She keeps a low profile. The school's two best teachers are located in 3rd grade. Beware of 4th grade teachers. They seem to have a collective chip on their shoulders, are mean and even bullying towards the kids (especially males). The Principal instituted a ridiculous silent lunch policy. Don't expect welcoming smiles from the front office. They recently introduced an overpriced after school program that costs $95 per week and ends at 5:30. It is not designed for the working parent. If you are the child of a white SAHM wealthy PTA member, you will do fine here.

I sent my child here and it was horrible horrible horrible. I took her out and sent her to private school. The staff is horrible and the administration is worse. Beware

If your child is one of the "popular kids" you will do great here. If your child is not good luck. The teachers and administration show favoritism. My children experienced bullying and when it was brought to the attention of the guidance counselor it was ignored. Actually worse than that... the guidance counselor actually told the bully who the victim(s) were and the bullying got worse!

I find it super interesting that all of the negative reviews - notably those race-related - are not reflective of the school nor the community. For instance, at the community meetings regarding the Austin rebuild, not a *single* person reflecting the reviews below showed up to offer their support. Not one.
