Well I have had the pleasure of 3 different schools systems and I can't really say this one is that much different. They are ahead in technology but... It really depends on the parents and expectations. I think the school has a low opinion of parents and lack high expectations. The language the my kids are constantly hearing starting from the morning trip to, to the trip home. But that's where I blame the parents you want a better school than have higher expectations for yourselves and the school. Maybe things would change but until you have standards of your own down expect the school to. After all the apple falls from the tree that created it.... hummm

Lamar Barnes is sadly one of the most unprofessional administrators I have encountered. He is more interested in hearing himself whine about how many students and parents he has to interact with and the daily demands of his job rather than listening to the parent and engaging in the matter at hand. He is rude and condescending. There are a few great teachers and staff members at this school, how they manage to stay under the administrator's self-centered leadership and complete lack of vision is a testament to their dedication to the students. Yet, there are some instructors who seem to "get away" with behaviors which are inappropriate such as texting during open house and making parents wait until the teacher is done e-socializing, or texting during parent-teacher conferences. His leadership explains why these other unprofessional behaviors are ongoing in this school. I imagine this must be a highly dysfunctional work environment. Schools are about education, the learning process, and the students - when you are more concerned with yourself than your staff and students, it is time to embark upon another profession. WMS would be a better place with some professional leadership.

If they had a negative than I would click on that! This is the worst school my child has ever been in and I plan on moving just to get him a better school!! He is being picked and harassed by other kids and comes home crying. You call the school and they could give a crap less! There is ZERO communication as others have stated! I have called and wrote numerous notes and no response EVER! PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW YOUR KIDS TO GO TO THIS SCHOOL!!! This school is a joke and that's extremely sad!
