Moved here last year from Buford a City can my kids love it.

This is a terrible school. If you are Asian or African American, please do your child a favor by not sending him to this school. The teachers give the white kids all the attention and love and treat the colored kids like slaves.

I am very glad to be done-2 kids. This middle school has some things to work out. The Team approach is the first thing I would remove, its a teacher clique. The teachers need to rediscover their reasons for teaching. Children who need a little extra attention do not get it in terms of support, just reprimand. The goal is to get children to learn, not just get them out and on to the next building. If someone were moving here, i would suggest other options.

We have moved around the US quite a bit. Rising Starr is one of the very best we have seen. The administration is fantastically focused on the students and the ever changing learning environment due to advances in technology and the changing future economy our kids will eventually enter. All of the teachers we have encountered this far after 3 years and two students are wonderful. They engage the students, demand high performance yet with compassion in mind for each students personality, and truly teach the kids to be independent. The grades are separated so your student is moving through the awkward middle school years amongst their peer group. There are many advanced classes to access and the extra curricular offerings are plentiful. The music program is the most robust I have ever encountered in public or private schools across the country. I am extremely pleased with our students experience here and would enthusiastically recommend this school to all.
