Northview High School

horrible administration, especially the Downey the principal. He doesnt hire good teachers. School has definitely gone down since Downey became principal. Some parts of the school is very dirty as well. Horrible experience.

Great school. Dedicated teachers, beautiful grounds, professional faculty and staff. Overall a wonderful experience. The entire community rallies around this school.

My son has Down syndrome. He is the first student with that condition to attend this high school. You see, children with Down syndrome are sent to a different school in a self contained environment. This is against the law and what my son and other children with Down syndrome deserve and are entitled to under the law is to be in the least restrictive environment and the appropriate modifications. However, the administration of Northview High School, after 8 weeks of school, without doing the appropriate modifications and support, wants to ship him to a self-contained environment. This is called discrimination and segregation. We, as this student's parents are willing to work to make those modifications. The school doesn't want anything to do with it. In fact, they purposely wanted to exclude him from participating in a chorus presentation. His chorus teacher, after 8 weeks of school, informed us that our son wouldn't be singing in a presentation because he was not able to learn all the lyrics.Our son is verbal and he takes private music lessons on Saturdays. #northviewhighschool needs to get on with the times and the law for children with Down syndrome.

My daughter is a student at Northview High School. It is an awesome school. Teachers and counselors are very nice. The environment in school is good. Students are friendly. Academic level Is very high at the same time it has lots of sports activities and club activities to choose from. My daughter like this school very much and as a parent, I am glad too that I selected this school for my daughter.
