My child is highly gifted and could handle the academic pressure. However, I was not happy about the behavior/judgment from some of the other kids. They have a cool ski trip in 7th and the 8th graders go to Disney. Great music program and honors class offerings. The late 9:15 start time makes it hard for working parents to get kids to school at 8:15 for morning tutoring and clubs because they are not the usual "after school". It is WEIRD that there are NO school sports in Cobb County for MS!?! They have fields out front that are used for rec programs. I wish this would change as the more involved students are with academic clubs and sports (we do both), they happier they typically are at school...
Good . You can meet many new friends
I’ve had two students at Dodgen and it has been a great experience for both of them.
The school is a poor example of what a middle school should be.
