I absolutely love this school. My daughter has received a great education, and she is doing well. Her teachers all communicated with me and provided me with the information I needed to help her at home. The school administrators are always available to assist me if I have a concern and are always visible around the school.

I currently have a child at this school and can not wait to get her out. She is in second grade and this was her first year at MES. Her teacher is terrible at communicating information to us (the parents). I had to remind the teacher several times of miscommunication on assignments, activities, etc. She always seemed unprepared for our meetings until I got the principle involved (and this is a lady who has been teaching twenty+ years.) The parent support (pto) is very lacking at the school as well. However I think that is part blame on the principle as she makes it hard for communication of the pto because she assumes the worst in people not allowing for people to bring all there talents to the table. This will be my child's last year here. I highly recommend anyone looking to place there child here to look elsewhere. Communication here is awful!!!!!

I have really enjoyed this school. My oldest has been there 5yrs and is going into 5th grade and my youngest just completed kindergarten. We had a wonderful year and both their teachers were great. Both of mine grew mentally and socially this year with their teachers. The principal, vice principal, and office staff are accessable and great to.deal with. Sure some of the kids that come through there don't seem to have the guidence they need but that has to do with family and not school staff. The staff here obviously care about their students and about the job they are doing. My older son is also in the focus program and this offers him additional challenges and the two focus teachers are also wonderful. I think the school could use more parent involvement. Some parents just don't seem to.want to get involved and I think that involvement is very important. This school has been a great expirence for.my family.

I was a little nervous about changing schools and my child being the "new" kid. I am so, so, so happy that we switched. I can honestly say that our 5th grade year with Mrs. Malcom was our best year so far! This is a wonderful teacher and she is very "On Top of It" with discipline, teaching. She makes every child feel like they're the only one in the classroom. I've had to call the school a few times and speak with different staff members. Everyone has always been very helpful. I hope that next year's Kindergarten class is the same for my youngest.
