I think that there are a lot of teachers and students that are nice and respectful, but some of them are mean some people would say and they don't treat some of the students with the same respect as they might for the other students. I love most of my teachers and I think that they treat me with respect and they love me. Either way my experience at dobbins middle school has been great and I'm sure that other peoples will be to.

They claim to have zero tolerance when it comes to bullying, but my daughter has been relentlessly bullied at the school and on the bus and the administrators say they are just "unsure how to approach it". You could start by punishing the bullies???There is also a lack of communication. Last year they had a school dance and asked parents to be there at 4:30 for pick up. My daughter called me at 4 freaking out because the students got "too rowdy" so they ended the dance early, making the kids stand outside to wait for rides. Terrible planning .It seems every week the school is sending the students home asking for money/donations for the school. Not a specific program or reason, just for the school in general. We gave $5 for frog dissection 4 months ago and it never happened. Where did our money go?

The worst experience for my child ever

I have seen no progress with my child since her IEP. I have seen my child thrive with good teachers. At best, this school is mediocre for the average child, but if you struggle with academics, you will surely fail at this school. And please keep in mind that I am a very involved parent.
