To be fair, I had a great time here. But the only reason I say that is because my close friends and the marching band made it good. The people there - eh, it's a good mix of undesirable people and really great people. But the actual learning and the teachers, that's a bit iffy. I switched over to Social Circle from Newton County in 6th grade, and I will say that my grades decreased significantly. There were a few effective teachers, but a majority of them just weren't. Love you guys, but... sorry. It isn't the best academically. Sigh. At least they have cute band boys here.

I went here and it was terrible. A lot of people paint it as something special but it is not. Probably the best option around the area considering its becoming the hood, but if you can afford it by all means put your kids in private school if you care about them.

The school has very nice facilities. The sports complex is amazing. The teachers are great and nice. The small town community is the best.

Social Circle High School was a great school when I attended! I loved the small town atmosphere it was in and the student-teacher connects that I was able to form because of the small classroom sizes. I loved most of teachers and liked all of them I was able to actually get to know them and form real relationships with all of my teachers. The teachers actually cared about the students and if they succeeded or not and that is rare to find. I felt bad for the teacher that put their all into their careers and had the students that did not care one bit about their education, because I could tell it really stressed the teacher, but it was always just one student like that. Now that I am in college I hear stories about other student;s high school careers and theirs was horrible. I am more than thankful to have been able to grow up in Social Circle and attend K-12 there. I do think that the student capacity may be getting larger in Social Circle because when I was a senior a very large freshman class was coming in and I heard that the classes were only getting larger, so my only advice would be to actually separate the middle and high school. Also, to improve the stadiums for sports.
