Spring, Texas Homes for Sale

About Harmony

Harmony is an amazing community just off of the Grand Parkway east of downtown Spring by 3 miles. Describing it as "conveniently located" would be a gross understatement. The Hardy Toll Road and I-45 are about two minutes away, so many North Houston attractions and employment hubs are less than a 30 minute trip for residents. Grocery shopping is easy - there are two large grocery stores right at the front entrance. Best of all, kids can walk to schools in one of the best districts in the state. The community is on 1,000 acres and has 2,600 single family homes. A 35 acre commercial zone is between the Grand Parkway and the community front entrance. It hosts one of the aforementioned grocery stores along with several fast food and casual dining restaurants, some retail stores and a pediatric clinic.

Around Harmony

Harmony's wonderful recreation center is called The Thicket. It's 5,100 sq ft with a well-equipped exercise room and event rooms, but the real highlights are the pool and splashpad. The pool is resort-style and it has several lap lanes so serious swimmers can get their laps done. Kids have plenty of room to play on the oversized splash pad If one pool isn't enough, there's another one at Harmony's other amenities park called Barefoot Park which also includes another spectacular splash pad. The park has tennis courts, a multi-sport court and a beautiful outdoor fireplace for cooler evenings. Though Harmony has a Spring address, children living here attend Conroe Independent School District schools. The district is ranked well by several independent rating services, usually putting it in the top 5% or 10% of districts nationally or within Texas. The closest schools are all next door to Harmony on their own campus. They are Synder Elementary, Cox Intermediate, and York Junior High School. Grand Oaks High School, the district's newest school featuring state-of-the-art teaching technologies and an impressive sports complex, is right down the road from the community's main entrance.

Harmony's lifestyle director fills the community calender with nearly two dozen events. They're held at Harmony's excellent facilities such as the recreation center or in the green spaces or parks and really bring the community together. Seasonal events include an Easter Egg hunt, a Cinco de Mayo Pool Party and Harvest Fest. Reoccuring events are monthly meet-and-greets for new residents and concerts. Entertainment is not hard to find just outside of Harmony. A short drive down I-45 or the Grand Parkway will lead to several major shopping malls which host the full array of movie theaters, restaurants, specialty retailers and Wet'N' Wild Splash Town. Nature lovers have the Spring Creek Greenway running along side the community. They can put-in their canoes at Pundt Park, take their dogs to a spacious dog park or go fishing. Golfers have a half dozen courses to choose from within a 20 minute drive.
