After going to kindergarten at a Chicago magnet school, we moved to district 204. I am so glad we made the switch at the right time. Gwendolyn Brooks Elementary School has given my daughter the diverse and excellent learning environment that she needed after a stressful kindergarten year at the magnet school. Everyone from the principal to the staff and teachers are here to make sure that all the kids grow personally and academically. My daughter loves going to school, enjoys learning and comes home with a happy face. In my opinion, that is all that matters at the end of the day.

Brooks is a great school!!. Teachers and staff are extremely attentive to students performance and their needs. They make sure that students get ample opportunities to e xcel in academics and encourage them to participate in all activities and programs that are being offered at school. Also, they are equally attentive to students with special needs.

We are new to the district. We moved here because of the great reviews. I can honestly say, BEWARE. The staff is rude. They will tell you one thing to your face and do another. I have had so many problems I had to go and hire an attorney, After the attorney looked over the information, she is seriously thinking civil rights issues where violated. Hope it goes better for other families.
